Competitions during Covid-19 restrictions Please see below the competition rules & guidelines: - Tee times: are to be pre-booked via our BRS booking system in 2, 3 or 4 balls.· - You should enter on the earliest day (i.e. If you are planning to play on Saturday & Sunday you should designate Saturday to be your competition round) (applies to two-day comps only).· - Entry fees: £5 & Two’s £2. - Entries: are to be paid in the club house foyer by card (no cash) and prior to teeing off. - To complete a hole the player must hole out. - Flagsticks: are not to be touched and the ball should be retrieved from the cup using the device installed on each flagstick. - Score cards: players are asked not to swap and to mark their own card. Each card should show the players score in column A & a playing partners score in column D. -On completion of the round the cards are to be posted in the red box positioned outside the main door of the club house. Local rules: - * NEW * Holding the flagstick: Holding the flagstick away from the edge of the cup/hole by your playing partner using a club is permitted. - Preferred lies: are still in play on closely mown areas (placing within 6 inches & not nearer to the hole). - Bunkers: Preferred lies are in play. (Please note: The distance for preferred lies in the bunker is limited to 6 inches and the area cannot be smoothed before placing). - Orchids: You will have noticed a significant number of Orchids growing in the rough adjacent to the fairways, we have introduced a local rule allowing you to take a drop from the plant to prevent your swing or stance from damaging it. Relief: one club length from the nearest point of relief not closer to the hole. - GUR: Newley seeded areas on holes 16 & 18. Note - the area to the right of the 6th fairway is not GUR & is now in play.
