Captain’s Finale

Great weather for a great finale!

Congratulations to our Captain, Doug on a very enjoyable season of 'Captain's roll-ups' including a great evening of cross-country golf and a number of other interesting formats, which all contributed towards a fantastic finale and a massive selection of prizes.

Roger Gliddon Golf Day - Saturday 14th September

A great day on the links was had by all this weekend when we remembered one of our past members, Roger Gliddon. The standard of golf was extremely good with an unbelievable score of 50 points posted by winners Mark Morris and Mark Loudwill.

2nd - Clive Woodward and Merv Hegarty.
3rd - Colin Hatch and James Gliddon.

On behalf of Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club and our junior section I would like to make a huge thank you to the Gliddon family and BOTT Ltd. for the generous donation of £500 towards our junior section. We are planning to put some of the donation towards funding free coaching sessions in schools and trying to encourage young golfers.

NEW Coaching Classes

We will be holding a number of golf clinics over the next few months focusing on improving your short game technique and the way you practice. Each session will be 90 minutes in duration in groups of no more than 6 golfers and will cost £12 per person.

Growing the game

TriGolf has began. Junior coaching sessions take place every Saturday at the following times:

- TriGolf - 9:00am- 9:50am

- 5 - 9’s - 10:00am - 10:50am

- 10 and overs - 11:00am - 11:50am

Only £4 per junior. You do not need to be a member to join the junior coaching so if you know anyone who wishes to learn please tell them to come along.

Urethane vs Ionomer? Both are materials used on the cover of golf balls but what is the difference between them and how does each affect your game?

A warmer option
