Saturday Coaching

- 9:00am: Tri-Golf under 7’s

- 10:00am: 8 - 12 yrs

- 11:00am: 13 yrs +

All group lessons cost £4 and you do not need to be a member to join the junior coaching.

If you know anyone who wishes to learn please tell them to come along.

Holiday Junior Coaching

During most school holidays we will be holding junior coaching mornings/afternoons. Adam Curtis PGA Professional who has a growing reputation as one of the areas most popular golf teachers will deliver the sessions

- 3 hours of junior coaching

- Lunch included

- Irons, Fairway woods, Drivers, Chipping, Bunkers & Putting

- Only £19.50 per student

A date for your diary

The DOOMBAR OPEN is taking place on Saturday, 17 November at Bude & North Cornwall GC and we still have some spaces left. The cost is £8 (BGC Member) and £22 (Non-member) which includes a pint of Doombar or a medium wine and a Cornish pasty.

If you wish to play you can enter on the start sheet in the GC foyer or give the Pro Shop.

What do you take from this?

As golfers, there's nothing more satisfying than a shot which is perfectly executed - even if it is a rare occurrence for many of us. It could be a booming drive which splits the fairway down the middle, or maybe a wedge shot which stops dead, two feet away from the hole. In fact, when you consider how often we use our wedges during a round of golf - see the graph below - the latter is something that we should all be striving to achieve.

So, what do you take from the graph above? In our eyes, it highlights just how important your short game is. We see a lot of you spending time hitting balls on the range, which is great, but don't neglect the less glamorous side of the game when practising - it's where your score is 'made'.

We can't stress the benefits of having wedges that are suited to every aspect of your game either.
