Try out a Motocaddy trolley for FREE If you haven't tried out one of Motocaddy's latest electric trolleys or are still carrying your clubs for over four miles each round, we'd recommend taking advantage of this promotion. Not only are they an energy saving way to get around the course, but today's trolleys are full of brilliant technology - like GPS - that makes playing with one so much more enjoyable than ever before. |

Try a Garmin GPS for FREE Golf's a game where you need to utilise all the help you're given. One specific way that has seen a huge boom in recent years is the use of GPS devices, which are particularly useful when it comes to knowing distances to the front, middle and back of greens, as well as hazards and doglegs. Throughout September, we're giving you the chance to 'Try Before you Buy' on selected Garmin devices, including the Approach S20 watch. What do you have to lose? |

Junior Coaching by Adam Curtis
Since introducing Tri Golf to our Saturday morning junior coaching program, we have experienced a great increase in the under -7-year olds taking part. It is proving to be a great way to introduce golfers to the game at such a young age in a safe and fun way. The middle group from 8yrs to 12 years is ever growing, with around 20 children that filter in and out of Saturday coaching. Our aim is to introduce this age group onto the course with some 5- and 11-hole competitions. We hope this group will feed young golfers in to our older group who are successfully competing in inter club and junior county events.
The older group (13 years +) have shown great improvement of late and have gone from playing their first 18-hole competition at the beginning of the year to competing as a team again other teams around the county. The first game we played was in the Bolitho Shield away to Perranporth GC where we lost 4-2 but returned the favour when Perranporth came to Bude a few days later where we beat them 5-1. We then played Lanhydrock away and beat them by 4 1/2 games to 1 1/2. This was good enough to advance through the group stages top of our group and into the finals day on Sunday, 9 September.
|
The finals day team consisted of: Harry Macauley (Captain), David Currie, Morgan Bryant, Elliot Pates, Jack Cottle and Connor Vanstone.
The boys qualified through to the match play final after a great team performance in the morning stableford round. Unfortunately coming up just short in the final losing to the strong Truro Golf Club, 5-1.
This was a great first appearance in a club competition representing Bude Golf Club and I'm sure there are more trophies to be won for the lads

All group lessons cost £4 and you do not need to be a member to join the junior coaching. If you know anyone who wishes to learn please tell them to come along.

Sightlines on putters might seem like a nice design, but they are there for a reason as they help you aim your putts more accurately, and help you centre the ball on your putter. But with so many different styles, it can be hard to know which one will aid you the most. |
It’s up to you Odyssey’s Red Ball putter features some of the most sophisticated alignment technology on the market. The innovative Red Ball in the scope of the putter allows you to consistently get into the correct set-up position over the ball. Add Odyssey's Versa high contrast technology that helps you align the putter better, and this putter is going to be very helpful for a lot of golfers.
|
|
Something different Alternatively, you might be a fan of Odyssey's O-Works Marxman Red putter, which is also available in a black finish. If you have alignment issues with your putting then this model has been designed specifically for golfers like you, with a full-length alignment aid extending right to the back edge of the putter for improved performance. |
