Practicing on the course

At the last committee meeting concerns were raised regarding multiple divots being left in certain areas indicating that golfers having been practicing on the course. This is not allowed and any practicing should be kept to the practice area.

Future Competitions

If you fancy a fun and relaxed game of golf then sign-up for the George Staddon Texas Scramble on Sunday, 27 August. Four players with three drives to count always proves to be a very enjoyable competition.

The date of the Ryder Cup 4BBB has been changed to Saturday, 2 September and will now be a 10:00am shotgun start. You can decide whether to represent Europe (The Captain's team) or the USA (The Professional's team). The entry sheet is on display in the clubhouse foyer.

Players are needed for the Cornish Bowl team so if you wish to play can you contact the golf shop ASAP. Details are as follows:

League vs. Perranporth on Fri, 4 Aug

Bude won 5.5 - 1.5. Team - Kathy, Carol, Collette, Roz Clarke, Jean Pearce, Annie and Shirley.

Triangle Final at Bude on Sat, 5 Aug

Winners - Okehampton (536), second place - Bude (524) and in third place - Launceston (491).

Team Captain Jean Reed thanked all those who played for their support.

Fourth Round Annodata on Sat, 5 Aug

After a very exciting match vs. Perranporth away, Chris Simmons and Vikki Hodge who plays off five halved their match resulting in a play-off for Collette, who sealed the deal on the last putt and a
3.5 - 1.5 win for the Bude team of: Chris and Dave, Collette and Judith, Hana and Bruv, Kathy and Tony and Kay and Sis.

Gardiner Cancer Spoon (VL) on Sun, 13 Aug

15 took part and the winner on the day was Mandy Congdon (40 points). Second place - Chris Simmons (38 points) and in third place - Kay Dinsdale (36 points).
