Get Into Golf Weekend - FREE Golf Lessons And FREE Sunday Hog Roast

Bude & North Cornwall GC are hosting a 'Get into Golf' weekend with FREE golf tuition on Saturday, 8 April and Sunday, 9 April for ladies, men and juniors. So if have ever fancied trying golf, or if you have not played for a while and wish to give it another go, please call the Bude Golf Team and book your FREE lesson or click here to send us an email.

Bude GC are also offering a FREE Hog Roast between 3:00pm and 5:00pm on Sunday, 9 April for club members and anyone who takes part in the 'Get into Golf' weekend.

The Captains Drive-in - Sunday, 25 March

Captain's Drive-in Congratulations to men's Captain Adrian Parsons and Ladies Captain Avril Smith for hosting a fabulous day and organising some great weather. John Percy correctly predicted Avril's drive at 109 yards and Andy Muir guessed 207 yards for Adrian's drive. We all wish them good luck and a very successful year as Club Captains. Pictured with the Club Captains are the winners of the Eileen & Bill Daniel Early Bird Trophy; Collett Burgess and Paul Vickerstaff.

We still have places available in the News of the World and Ford Trophy on Sunday, 2 April. This event is also acting as the Lombard Qualifier where the winner qualifies to play with myself in the Regional Pro-Am at Burham & Berrow GC later in the season.

PK's 70th Birthday Golf Tournament - Friday, 12 May

I know it's hard to believe but it is true... yes Peter Kelly is approaching 70 years old. To celebrate this monumental achievement Peter is inviting you all to play in his birthday golf tournament on Friday, 12 May. So if you fancy a fun day out with some great prizes you will find a sign-up tee sheet on the information noticeboard in the club foyer. Peter will also be providing FREE beer on the 6th tee (about time he bought a round) so please come along, support the day and wish Peter a Happy 70th Birthday.

Junior 11 Hole Spring League

The winner of the first round of the Junior 11 Hole Spring League was Ethan Goodege with a fantastic score of 23 points. Ethan's handicap has been cut from 50 to 46 following his win and sees him take an early lead in the Spring League. Second place was collected by the ever consistent Oscar Davey with 17 points. Our youngest player, Jake Byrn, picked up third place.

The next round will be held on Saturday, 8 April and will run until the end of May. The first tee time will be 1:30pm so please arrive by 1:00pm for the draw.

Saturday Junior Coaching

Details are as follows:

9:30am - Young group.
10:45am - Older group.
One hour - £4.
Fun and prizes up for grabs.
