Cann-Medland Winter Matchplay
The sign-up sheet for the Cann-Medland Winter Matchplay is now on the comps board in the foyer. This is played as a foursomes matchplay knock-out and the closing date for entries is Friday, 28 October.

Ladies Spanish Evening
The ladies are holding a fund raising evening in aid of the Ladies Mail on Sunday Team on Friday, 4 November at 7pm.

Captain vs. President - Sunday, 22 October
A field of 36 players competed for the annual Captain vs. President Trophy. The first there places were only separated by one point with the duo of Dave Simmons and Nancy Bailey taking up the top spot on 46 points. Closely behind in second place were Merv Hegarty and Glen Thom also on 46 points.
The Ryder Cup style match was easily won by the the President's Team by a score of 7.5 points to 1.5 points.
Real Ale and Wine Open - Saturday, 1 October
First place - B. Rod, M. Colwill, B. Colwill and T Coates (91 points), second place - T. Perry, G. Ward, P. Greatbatch and M. Hegarty (84) and in third place - Chunky Philp, G. Pethick, D. Holt and N. Wilce (83).
Ladies Stableford - Wednesday, 5 October
First place - N. Bailey (38 points), second place - J. Tucker (30) and in third place - J. Downes (28).

Junior Winter Stablefords
Our Junior Winter Stablefords run every Saturday starting this weekend. Details are as follows:
Juniors under 36 H'cap - 11 holes red tees.
Juniors under 28 H'cap - 11 holes yellow tees.
Juniors 37 H'cap and over - 5 Holes blue tees.
£2 entry (all entry money to go back in prizes).
Prize giving after the match.
Open to all juniors with or without handicaps.
Best four rounds over the winter will decide the league winner.
