First place - Ron Gilbert and David Latter (47 points), second place - Terry Abbott and John Fensom (45 points), third place - Alan Harris and John Davies (44 points) and in fourth place - Alan Cottle and Victor Cornish (44 points).
Ladies Triangle (Holsworthy)
The Bude girls have done it again! Lying in second place going into the third round, Bude eventually took the lead at Holsworthy to bring home the cup. The full result was; Bude - 484, Launceston - 481 and Holsworthy - 415. Team: Avril, Collette, Kay, Nancy, Roz, Sally Brankin, Sue Kershaw and Sue Thompson.
Ladies Mail on Sunday
Bude won 3- 2, a fantastic achievement by Team "CB" in the eighth round played away at Newport Gwent. A great girlie weekend away, even managing a visit to Celtic Manor. Team: Collette/June, Georgia/Glen, Hana/Jean D, Jean Reed/Judith, Kay/Jean Pearce. First reserve - Sally W and second reserve - Jean Pearce. The team is now through to round 9/10 (remaining eight clubs).
Men's Ryder Cup Day
It was close, but the score of 10.5 to 8.5 meant it was another win for USA and Club Captain Chris Hutt. We had a large field of 78 players who enjoyed some great weather and tasty food. Pairs results:
First place - D. Wilcox and L. Bridges (47 points), second place - J. Ryan and R. Downes (46 points), third place - N. Bailey and K. Cheeseman (46 points), fourth place - P. Davis and M. Hegarty (45 points), fifth place - A. Pearce and J. Dowell (45 points) and in sixth place - D. Simmons and M. Revie (44 points).
Junior Coaching
The summer holidays are nearly over so Adam and myself would like to take the opportunity to thank every junior who participated in our holiday coaching afternoons. Adam (Assistant Professional) said he was very impressed with the improvement that every junior golfer made. We will be continuing with Saturday morning lessons and then more coaching days during the next school holiday.
