Captain's Night
This week we gave it the Dallas Scramble treatment where each player in the three ball tees off, the best positioned drive is then chosen and the two players whose shots were disregarded play the second shots. The process is then repeated until the ball is in the hole. To give it another twist each play must use two of his/her tee shots.
The team of Doug Thom, Glen Thom and Simon Greatbatch seemed to gel with the format the best and took the honours. Another great showing of 33 players turned up to play and enjoyed some tasty Chef's specials, maybe a pint or a glass of wine and a great atmosphere is the bar afterwards.

Coaching News
Now some nicer weather has arrived, Adam Curtis (Assistant professional), is holding some evening on-course coaching sessions. These will give our youngest golfers experience of playing on a proper course and the chance of obtaining their first handicap. Dates are as follows:

The Srixon Ball Fitting Experience
On Tuesday, 31 May Srixon are holding a Ball Fitting Experience at Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club. This is a chance to talk to Srixon's fitting technician about the correct ball type for your game. You are invited to book a 20 minute session where you will hit a number of shots with your driver to determine the optimum ball type for your swing speed, spin and launch angle.
