Captains' Drive-in

The 2016 Captains' Drive was held on Saturday, 26 March following the Eileen Daniel Early Bird competition. Chris Hutt and Christine Simmons both drove off at 1pm embarking on what we all hope will be a fantastic and enjoyable year for them both.

Captains' Night

Spring is upon us which means Captains' Nights start again from Tuesday, 12 April and run weekly from 4pm - 6pm. We play 11 holes in a variety of fun and interesting formats so please come along, join in the fun and support Chris Hutt our 2016 Club Captain. 

  

Ryan Curtis is off to Bovey Castle as he wins the Lombard Qualifier by one shot

News of the World Cup (H'cap 0-14) - First place - Ryan Curtis nett 68, second place - Harry Macauley (68) and in third place - John Goaman (69).

Ford Trophy (H'cap 15-28) - First place - Anth Ward (nett 69), second place - Chris Hutt, Captain (74) and in third place - Adrian Thorne (77). 

Well done to all the winners and congratulations to Ryan Curtis for winning the honour to partner myself in the Lombard Regional Finals at Bovey Castle. Ryan said "I nearly didn't enter the qualifier as I didn't think I had a chance to win. This is the highlight of my golfing career to date and although I am a little nervous the thought of partnering such a well respected professional as Nick is very very exciting".

Men's Matchplay Events

The sign-up sheets for the following matchplay competitions are now displayed on the notice board in the gent's locker room:

• North Cornwall Cup - Closing date for entries - Sunday, 1 May
• Thynne Cup - Closing date for entries - Sunday, 1 May
• Moss Bowl - Closing date for entries - Wednesday, 18 May
• Stallabrass - Closing date for entries - Tuesday, 7 June

The entry fee is £3 which needs to be put in an envelope in the competitions box before the closing date of each matchplay.

Bude Girls March On - Mail On Sunday Third Round - Sunday, 3 April

St. Enedoc were the opposing team for Bude in the third round of the Mail on Sunday. Bude, this time with a home draw, took full advantage. Encouraged by many club supporters Bude secured two early points with impressive wins by Georgia Price and Collette Burgess. The remaining team members all managed to win their points for the team, therefore ensuring a final 5-0 victory. Many congratulations!
