Gifford Breaks the 70 barrier
Shaun Gifford is showing some great form for the start of the season after carding a two under par gross 69 and returning 45 points to with the extra stableford played on Saturday, 27 February. Shaun was 10 points ahead of second placed nine handicap junior member Chris Turner, who has recently re-joined the club after a brief spell at Launceston GC. After spending the past four weeks working on his game with myself, Shaun has now been cut to a handicap of 5.2.
Nick's News
I'm off to the ski slopes of St. Anton, Austria on Saturday so the golf shop will be left in Adam's capable hands. To keep him busy please bring in any club re-gripping that you have been planning to have done and remember that we are currently offering a FREE grip on your 7-iron.
Get a Grip and give your clubs a winter service!
This week we have introduced our new Golf Pride Grip Bar with a vast range of the latest grips to hit the market. If you have 10 or more clubs re-gripped you will receive one of the following FREE OF CHARGE:
A FREE 30 minute video swing check
Or a FREE 30 minute putting or chipping lesson
Or a FREE 30 minute gap testing session on our new indoor GC2 launch monitor
Many golfers try to play with either worn out, slippery or incorrectly sized grips which encourages you to increase your grip pressure. This in turn adds tension to your golf swing, reduces the efficiency of how your wrists hinge and release and ultimately causes loss in distance and accuracy.
Please come in for your FREE grip and club appraisal.
New season fashion...
The spring FootJoy and Under Armour clothing collections are now in store sporting the most modern and technical fabrics available. Please feel free to come in and try on any of our garments and give us your thoughts on this season's styles.

Bude and NC GC enters the Kernow Cup
The Kernow Cup is a three man junior team event played in groups of three clubs resulting in a final's day. As a club we are proud now be in the position to think about entering junior team events so well done to all our junior and academy members who have worked hard on their games during the past 12 months.
Bude GC's Junior Academy Golf Membership
We have introduced this initiative to give our younger junior players access to the golf course and a pathway into full junior membership in the future. B & NC GC has recently introduced a shortened course, marked with blue tee markers that will allow our younger players to obtain a handicap and play in junior competitions. The only cost will be a £5 payment for insurance.
